I chose Fudoshin as the name of my dojo, because I never gave up on finding a Tenshin Aikido Dojo. It all started when I first seen Above the Law starring Steven Seagal. When I seen the techniques that he did, I wanted nothing more but to`be able to do those techniques myself. It was that time I decide to become an Aikidoist. I struggled at first, because around that time, there were no Aikido schools in my area. So I joined several other martial art schools over time, but none of them were like what I saw Steven Seagal do. I started to search the web for Aikido. I found some Aikido schools, but after practicing with them it became clear that those other Aikido schools could not compare to Steven Seagal's Tenshin Aikido. After struggling just to find a Aikido school, it seemed like learning Tenshin Aikido would only be a dream or wish. But one day while doing a search on the web for Tenshin Aikido. I came across Makoto Dojo a member of Tenshin Aikido Association, so I got the number to the dojo, and decided to call. I called and talked with the chief instructor at Makoto, who was and I still believe is, Larry Reynosa. Mr. Reynosa and I discussed the possibility of me joining the Tenshin Aikido Association. Due to some personal reasons, that opportunity past me by. Just when I thought that my dream would die, I found another website on Tenshin Aikido, a few years later. The webpage I found was to a Seizan International Dojo. I opened the webpage and was amazed to find out that Seizan International was part of the Tenshin Aikido family under the direction of Steven Seagal himself. After reading the webpage, I prayed to God that this was my chance to fulfill my dream. I got the number to the dojo and called. I talked to Seizan cheif instructor who is Louis Santos. While talking to Mr. Santos he revealed to me the true essence of Aikido. He was very respectful, kind, and courteous to me. Mr. Santos offered me the chance to study Tenshin Aikido. I couldn't refuse it, so I accepted Mr.Santos's offer. Finally, I was apart of the Tenshin Aikido family and my dream came true. The only reason that my dream came true was because of one man's generosity, a little bit of faith, and because God made me with an Immovable Spirit.

My only desire is to spread Tenshin Aikido, and to bring honor to my instructor
Mr. Santos & to his instructor Take Sensei!
